CAIHS Monday Morning Message
Week of 05/02/2022
PSSA and Keystone Schedule
Below are the dates for the upcoming PSSA and Keystone Testing in the Spring. This year only students who are assigned to take the yearly exams will be coming to school that day. The students who are not assigned to take a test that day will have a virtual day. They are expected to complete the assignments on their Teachers Canvas page. For example, when 8th grade is taking the PSSA test the 9th grade students will be at home on a virtual school day. Each student will be notified what days they are to attend for testing. The only day that all students will come to school is the day of the Keystone Literature test, because we only have a few students taking the exam.
May 2: PSSA Math Section 1 and 2
May 4: PSSA Science Section 1 and 2
May 16: Keystone Literature Section 1 and 2 (All 8th and 9th grade students will be in school this day)
May 17: Keystone Algebra Section 1 and 2
May 19: Keystone Biology Section 1 and 2
8th Grade End of the Year Celebration

Students will be able to choose from various activities: board games, cornhole, ping pong, and Pop a Shot, Music and Dancing, and a movie. Snacks and drinks will also be available.
Eighth Grade Students that have not received an Out of School Suspension since returning from Spring Break (4/19) will be allowed to attend.

Weekly Rock Winners
As you know, Coatesville Intermediate High School has implemented a Positive Behavior Intervention Support program. Teachers have been presenting students with ROCKs for showing Respect, Ownership, Courage and Kindness. There were 417 ROCKs presented in April. These ROCKs were saved and used in a drawing for rewards. The students will get to choose from various prizes such as a Door Dash certificate, a school store gift card, lunch with friends in a conference room, shadowing a PBIS team member for a 1/2 day, and $5 gift cards to restaurants in the area.
